You can check out the updated numbers and ranks for Capcom's best-selling fighters below. There are sixteen fighting games on Capcom's Platinum Titles out of the 89 total although last year's Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is still not found there. Capcom organized a DMC5 game development session, entitled ‘Game Design By Reverse. Street Fighter 5 had hit 2.9 million in sales as of the end of 2018, so the flagship fighter managed to sell approximately 200,000 more copies over the first three months of 2019 - despite the lack of new characters or major updates. Devil May Cry 5 sales have surpassed 2 million copies, game director Hideaki Itsuno announced at GDC 2019. Capcom: Infinite's sales, on the other hand, appear to have stalled out considering it still sits at 1.3 million copies sold and number 67 on the list just ahead of Super Street Fighter 4's Nintendo 3DS version. With Monster Hunter World still being Capcom's best-selling release by far and Resident Evil 2 taking the number 10 slot overall, Street Fighter 5 has moved up to the company's 16th top seller. Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5 have also immediately hopped up the charts on their first go having just released in January and March of this year respectively where the horror remake has crossed 4.2 million units while DMC's big return after a decade moved 2.1 million copies in under a month. Speaking of Street Fighter 4, Capcom's latest attempt at keeping the fighting game mainstay franchise going strong is now only around 300,000 copies away from out-selling SF4's base release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 which sits at 3.4 million units.

The announcement came at the start of his talk about the title at the Game Developers. After more than three years on the market, Street Fighter 5 has now reached 3.1 million copies sold which appears to include both its base release and Arcade Edition instead of separating them as was previously done for SF4. Devil May Cry 5 director Hideaki Itsuno revealed that the Capcom action game has sold 2 million copies.
